Stuck in a rut with long hair

To me being stuck in a rut with long hair is just as confusing as listening only to pop music and refusing to check out on music history. I mean there's clearly so much to hair than "just hair". I don't see why you'd get stuck in a rut if you can make 3 bases of the same updo. 1. Non-beaided base: like the cinnamon bun. It works on not so slippery hair or maybe just on shorter lengths (like before your hair reaches waist length). You will know when the bun becomes heavy. 2. Ponytails as bun base: the ponytail is not heavy because the length of your hair doesn't drag down your hair elastic. 3. Braided base: English braid is something you usually think when it's about braided bases. But french and dutch braids are also good braided bases. French or Dutch braids raises the bun off your neck. It's good if your bun is a bit bigger, you have a short neck or it's too hot outside. The updos that you can do with these bun bases are  of course so many it...
